TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The concept of neoprene thermal insulation:

By immobilizing a film of water around the body, the neoprene wetsuit works two ways:
1. the water trapped inside the wetsuit gradually warms up
2. heat dissipation to the outside decreases.
The wetsuit and the film of water form an insulating layer.

Neoprene is a closed-cell elastomer foam containing nitrogen bubbles with insulating properties.

The GBS technical design of the DG500 dinghy/catamaran neoprene wetsuit for cool, cold weather:

The DG500 neoprene wetsuit Tribord is made from 100% neoprene (thickness: 3mm) to guarantee good thermal insulation.

All seams are sewn with a strong thread dedicated to this type of component, and glued so that water cannot pass through the seams (GBS).
A neoprene strip is sewn under the zip to limit the cooling effects of water that might get underneath.

In moderate to strong winds and cold weather, wear the S500 jacket as a complement. Tribord

The freedom of movement of the DG500 dinghy/catamaran wetsuit:

The neoprene DG500 dinghy/catamaran wetsuit Tribord features a cut and materials designed to facilitate maneuvers and different positions under light sail.

The arms and the bust have a separate yoke to facilitate maneuvers and movements.
The legs, buttocks and knees have a separate yoke to facilitate sitting, crouching and tacking.

All seams are stretchable.

DG500 wetsuit neoprene reinforcements at knees, thighs and buttocks:

Reinforced knees all the way down to the bottom, buttocks and thighs. The knee is 7mm thick for greater comfort.
The additional component plays two roles:
- to limit wear and tear of the neoprene in the areas most exposed to friction on the boat (deck fittings, liston, mats... depending on the support)
- to limit the discomfort caused by this friction on the knees, buttocks and thighs for the wearer who is active on the boat.

Neck construction for the DG500 dinghy/catamaran wetsuit:

The finish and height of the collar have been designed to limit the discomfort of neoprene and irritation to even the most sensitive skin.
However, not all skin reacts in the same way: in this case, we advise you to wear a top under the wetsuit to limit sensitive rubbing.
