KNEE, SHIN, THIGH AND HAMSTRING REINFORCEMENTS
The Long John features reinforcements in the knees, shins, glutes and hamstrings. The anti-abrasion component plays two roles:
- to limit wear and tear of the neoprene in the areas most exposed to friction on the boat
- to limit discomfort caused by the friction inherent in sailing.
For added comfort, the neoprene thickness is doubled at the knees.
EASY URINATION, without taking off your suit!
We've come up with a system that lets you urinate easily while sailing: a discreet, comfortable opening (without scratch) specially designed for dinghy and catamaran sailing. It allows you to urinate in a standing position.
FITTING ADVICE
The Long John is slipped on through the neckline. To pull the arms through, we recommend that you pull the suit up as far as possible to chest level, then pull one arm through after the other. You'll need to stretch the top of the suit to allow the shoulders to pass through. Once on, position the suit over your shoulders: its stretch neoprene adjusts to your body shape, avoiding the inconvenience of a zipper opening.
DESIGN
The lines of the Long John have been designed for maximum maneuverability. The armholes are scalloped to allow good shoulder and arm freedom. The neoprene used is highly extensible to enhance this feeling and to allow ZIP-free donning and doffing (extensibility validated in the main direction of the fabric, also known as the "chain" direction).
The absence of a ZIP is a real asset for maximum comfort. Flatlock seams.
MULTI-SPORTS
The Long John has been designed with light sailing in mind. Our design choices make it compatible with other activities, such as SUP (Stand-Up Paddle), windsurfing, long-distance sailing and canoeing.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE
To get the most out of your wetsuit, you need to choose the right size. A wetsuit should fit snugly and there should be no visible creases. If you choose a wetsuit that's too big, creases will form, chafing will occur and thermal comfort will be reduced (water ingress).
THE IDEAL PANOPLY
You can combine the Long John with a UV top for UV protection and a windproof jacket. For cooler weather sailing, add a neoprene top to your Long John.
REPAIR
Thanks to neoprene glue (see link), you can repair your wetsuit by following the steps in the video (see link).
