TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Thermal insulation details

The suit is made of panels with 7 mm of stretch neoprene (with production tolerance).
Distribution:
Thermospan on bust and back + Plush (nylon loop) on shoulders to increase the feeling of warmth
Supratex on knees to better resist rubbing
Stretch on the rest of the suit
smooth Glideskin sleeves on extremities and neck: the smooth part is turned inside out to stick to the skin and limit water entry and circulation.

Watertight zip and suit assembly

The back zip is fully watertight and made by Tizip. We recommend regular lubrication with silicone grease to prolong its life and facilitate closure of the suit. The seams of the suit and hood are GBS (Glued and Blind Stitched): the neoprene is first glued, then stitched for maximum strength (the needle does not go all the way through the neoprene to prevent water infiltration).

Freedom of movement

One-piece with separate hood. Stretch neoprene side panels (highly flexible, elastic neoprene) to facilitate morphological adaptability and maximum fit for different body shapes.
No seams under the armpits to facilitate arm mobility. Preformed cut on arms, legs and loins to facilitate movement.

The balaclava

A separate hood in 7 mm thick neoprene, nylon loops (Plush) inside, sleeved at the face with preformed chin strap. The gray central band is made of stretch neoprene to better adapt to the shape of the head.
The Air Expulse system: a system for evacuating air bubbles trapped in the hood. It features a snap hook for attachment to the right thigh of the wetsuit.

Threading and unthreading the suit

Double sleeves with zippers on arms and legs for maximum comfort when dressing. To make back closure even easier, the zipper pull is extended.

Reinforcements to limit wear

Ergonomic knee reinforcements (Supratex) and shoulder reinforcement print. These reinforcements limit the effects of friction caused by the environment or equipment. Inside seams are stopped by patches to increase their strength. Glued/sewn GBS seams are made of nylon thread rather than polyester, for greater abrasion resistance. Print adheres to wrist to prevent computer rotation.

Thermal performance class

This scuba diving suit offers thermal protection tested by the independent institute INPP (Marseille-France) to validate its compliance with the current standard (NF EN 14225-1:2017).

The suit is CLASS B approved.
A (+7 °C/+12 °C/+45 °F/+54 °F)
B (+10 °C/+18 °C/+50 °F/+64 °F)
C (+16 °C/+24 °C/+61 °F/+75 °F)
D (+22 °C/+30 °C/+72 °F/+86 °F).

What is a semi-waterproof suit?

The semi-dry suit works on the same principle as the wet suit, except that the back closure with the Tizip concept is waterproof. The sleeves at the ends prevent water from circulating. These are low-water circulation garments! As the water is not renewed, less energy is lost. Even if your body is wet, the major advantage of this wetsuit is that it retains heat during your dive.

Correct use of a semi-waterproof suit

Put a little lukewarm water (think of isothermal containers) in your semi-tight suit before diving. This will reduce the squeeze effect: under the pressure of the descent, the air trapped in the suit when you put it on compresses and can cause the neoprene to crush, wrinkle and pinch the skin. Remember to grease the watertight zip regularly with non-greasy silicone lubricant.

Tips for putting on your wetsuit

Slide your foot into a plastic bag. Then tuck your leg into your wetsuit. Your foot will come out completely and snag-free! To adjust it, ask someone else to blow into your sleeve from the wrist. The air intake inflates the inside of the neoprene suit and instantly lifts it off your skin. You can then easily make final adjustments.

Tips for maintaining your wetsuit

1) After each session, soak the suit on the inside and outside in clear water.
2) Use a bactericidal solution to sanitize.
3) Rinse well with clear water.
4) Dry on a wide hanger in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Caution: the sun discolors the textile parts of the suit and accelerates the aging of the neoprene.
Zippers can be cleaned with a toothbrush and lubricated with silicone grease.
