How to choose the right combination (Part 1)
The first criterion for choosing a wetsuit is water temperature. Water temperature varies according to location and time of year. So always make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm waters above 20°C. Temperate waters between 17 and 22°C. Cold water between 12 and 17°C. Very cold waters between 7 and 12°C. Consult seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
How to choose the right combination (Part 2)
The 2nd criterion to consider is the duration of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models, and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models.
Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more waterproof), will limit fatigue more (more freedom of movement) and will better limit chafing. The same applies to 900 models compared to 500 models.
NB: 900 models are easier to put on.
Choosing the right size
To get the most out of your wetsuit, you need to choose the right size. A wetsuit should fit snugly and there should be no visible creases. When dry, it's normal to feel too tight, but this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that's too big, creases will form, chafing will occur and thermal comfort will be reduced (water ingress).

Materials
OLAIAN 900 wetsuits are made from 100% ultra-stretch neoprene, guaranteeing maximum comfort and freedom of movement.
Neoprene is lined with synthetic textile for greater resistance to wear and tear.
Neoprene thickness: 3 mm and 2 mm
Neoprene is composed of an elastomer foam with insulating properties.
We test and guarantee the quality of our neoprene materials.
Collar
The collar finish has been designed to limit irritation. Depending on individual sensitivity, a UV top can be worn under the suit to limit the risk of irritation. We also recommend applying a greasy cream (e.g. Vaseline) to rubbing areas (neck, armpits, knees) during long periods of use.
Maximum freedom of movement
The 900 Men's wetsuit line OLAIAN features a cut and materials specifically chosen to facilitate rowing and free up maximum movement, especially during the "Take Off".
The entire wetsuit is made of ultra-stretch neoprene.
All seams are stretchable.
The chest zip frees up the back completely during practice.
Closing
The chest zip closure frees up movement while providing a better seal than a conventional back closure. The zipper slider is made of stainless steel to resist saltwater aggression.
Sealed assembly
The seams are sewn and glued to guarantee watertightness.
The seam is "blind", i.e. the thread does not pass completely through the neoprene, thus preventing water from passing through.
To further reinforce the watertightness and resistance of the assemblies on our 900 ranges, they are fully braided on the inside.
The absence of threads on the inside also helps to prevent chafing.
Comfort and reinforcement patches are placed on the inside at sensitive points.
Limiting water ingress
Ankle and wrist ends feature silicone stoppers to limit water ingress. They also provide better support for gloves and boots.
Key pocket
A key pocket is located in the front panel under the zip.
Stay warmer longer with thermal accessories! There's something for every temperature range...
When we're in the water, it's through our extremities (feet, hands, head) that we lose more than half of our body heat.
Therefore, here are the recommended accessories:
- in warm and temperate water (>17°C) => neoprene socks.
- in cold water (12 - 17°C): high booties and gloves. in cold water (12 - 17°C): High booties and gloves.
- in very cold water (7 - 12°C): High booties, gloves, balaclava and top balaclava...
