Sharpening
The blade angle is 20°. Easy to sharpen with the quick sharpener Solognac 20°, a sharpening rifle Solognac or a sharpening stone.
5Cr15 stainless steel
Our engineers chose to use 5Cr15 stainless steel on this knife for 3 reasons:
- the steel is hard enough to hold the edge long enough, like processing venison for 2 hours.
- the steel is soft enough to make sharpening easy, thanks to a hardness of around 56 HRC, and to pick up the edge in just a few passes on a sharpening rack
- the steel has good corrosion resistance thanks to its chemical composition.
Transport and Concept X-Access
Supplied in a 1680-denier polyester fabric pouch with duraflex buckle for added strength. X-Access compatible, the case can be attached to a belt or any backpack fitted with X-Access straps.
