TECHNICAL INFORMATION

WATERPROOF HELMET COVER, ONE SIZE, WITH REFLECTIVE STRIPS

This one-size-fits-all rain cover protects cyclists' heads in inclement weather (rain, wind, cold) thanks to its waterproof material. The component is breathable to avoid condensation under the helmet.
The integrated elastic band ensures that the rain cover stays in place.
The helmet cover is quick and easy to install on the helmet, and takes up very little space when folded up for transport.
Also available in black.

WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE?

Il s'agit d'un composant imperméable respirant (RET = 6) limitant la condensation dans le vêtement.
Nous avons mesuré sa résistance évaporative RET (test basé sur la norme ISO 11092). Plus la résistance est faible, plus le tissu laisse s’échapper la vapeur d'eau générée par le corps en activité, et donc, plus il est respirant. Par exemple : RET < 9 = tissu extrêmement respirant / 9 < RET < 12 = tissu très respirant / 12 < RET < 20 = tissu respirant / RET > 20 = tissu peu ou pas respirant."

WATERPROOFING MEANS :

- A DEPERLANT TREATMENT
A fluorine-free chemical recipe placed on the surface of the fabric, which allows water to slide off the surface of the component. This treatment can be reactivated by the action of heat (use of tumble dryer - gentle program 10').
- A WATERPROOF ASSEMBLY
The aim is to prevent water penetrating through seam holes by using sealing strips placed under the seams.
- A WATERPROOF COMPONENT
A fabric's ability to prevent water penetration.

WATERPROOFING MEASUREMENT

Impermeability is measured in Schmerber or mmH2O (pressure exerted by a column of water).
A component with a value of 10,000 mm will withstand 10 meters of water.
The higher the number, the more impermeable the fabric.

TESTS

We carry out 3 tests on our waterproof products:
- Waterproof component: We use the Japanese standard - JIS 1092.
- Water-repellent treatment: According to ISO 4920 before and after washing, to guarantee the resistance of the water-repellent treatment. The water-repellency result is a rating between 0 and 5 (5 being the highest performance).
- Waterproof assembly: We have design rules that we test using a shower test that simulates rain of varying intensity.
