Design story :
All our crampons are designed and manufactured in our factory in Chamonix (France) at the foot of Mont-Blanc.
In the field, they are put to the test by our team of technical partners and mountain guides.
Number of peaks :
- 12-point crampons: 2 front points, 7 side points, 3 retaining points.
- Asymmetrical crampons: the 3 inner teeth of each foot are aligned for maximum grip on slopes. The outer 3 teeth follow the shape of the boot for good stability.
Fastening system :
- Rear fastening system: adjustable rear heel support for shoes with rear overhang
- Modular front fastening system:
semi-automatic with soft plastic fastener for shoes without front overhang, or automatic with metal clamp for shoes with front overhang.
- Note: front and rear fastening systems are fully removable and interchangeable with all other fastening systems in the SIMOND cleat range (sold separately).
Size adjustment :
- Size adjustment from 35 to 48.
- Size adjustment by means of central bar + slat/knob.
- Default clamp setting for small and medium-sized feet (without bar protrusion at rear).
For large feet, it is possible to change the positioning of the bar at the front by tilting it.
Snow protection :
- Crampons are supplied with snow guards. They prevent snow from accumulating under the crampons, for added safety.
Carrying case :
- The studs come with a carrying case.
Anti-corrosion :
- Anti-corrosion surface treatment on all metal parts.
