At Van Rysel , when we design a product, it's all about performance. That's why these long shorts aren't just long shorts.
We wanted shorts with a windproof membrane for the coldest rides, we wanted a new skin for longer rides with maximum comfort, and we wanted these shorts to last us a long time!
OUR DESIGN CHOICES
Each component of these long shorts is chosen for its outstanding performance:
- SUPER ROUBAIX™ for the main component, warm, soft and elastic
- A windproof and water-repellent membrane on the thighs and shins
- SUPER ROUBAIX™ with endurance treatment at the seat to ensure your tights last a long time
- Soft, supple and breathable mesh for the straps and back
- ELASTIC INTERFACE skin for comfort on long endurance rides.
WHAT IS A MEMBRANE?
The membrane is a technical component that provides impressive water and wind repellency.
On the other hand, our membrane is not waterproof, so the product is not waterproof.
The downside of this technical advantage is that the component is less flexible, which is why we only use it on areas that are wrinkle-free when pedaling.

Because long rides shouldn't suffer from any discomfort, we decided to work with the best for the skin of our cycling shorts.

DIFFERENT SKIN TONES?
We finalized these shorts at the end of winter 2020, but then confinement appeared and so did supply difficulties...
Together with our suppliers, we made the choice to work with the fabric colors available rather than take the risk of not offering you these shorts for the winter 2020 season.
The skins are identical, the quality is not altered, just the color may be different, that will be the surprise!
WHAT IS THE "EMBOSSE" MODEL?
We offer two types of tights: a classic, sober and effective version, and an embossed model.
This is just an aesthetic variation to give your shorts a little relief. It doesn't take away any technical qualities, but it does make them less smooth.
MAINTENANCE TIPS
Your shorts protect you, so take good care of them!
Wash gently at 30°C, no tumble-drying, no dry-cleaning, no ironing. Wash right-side up and dry in an airy room.
