TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Why bi-sole toe puffs?

Canvas bi-sole demi-pointes are suitable for intermediate and advanced dancers with a good command of classical technique. Thanks to the separation of the soles, they are more flexible at the arch of the foot, allowing the foot to roll smoothly. The flexibility of the bi-sole demi-pointe met enhances the lines of the foot and the instep. Ask your dance teacher for a recommendation when buying ballet shoes.

Why stretch half-tips?

If you're looking for supple demi-pointes that follow the shape of the foot, you'll want to choose stretch canvas. This stretchy material ensures a smooth footroll and enhances the instep. Bi-soles in stretch canvas are hand-washable, without tumble-drying. The bi soles are made of leather to guarantee product resistance.

Why are there drawstrings?

We've listened to you:
The drawstring is again present on this half-cuff model, allowing you to adapt the width of the liner to the shape of your foot. Don't forget to tie and cut the drawstring once you've adjusted it. You'll then need to conceal the end of the cord inside the liner each time you wear it. Tip: you can also fix it to the inside of the liner on the underside of the vamp with plaster.

Are there different dance shoes for men and women, girls and boys?

Whether you're a child or an adult, you'll need to choose ballet half-pointes adapted to your level. In general, beginners start out wearing half-point shoes with full soles, followed by half-point shoes with two soles. The distinction between boys and girls, and men and women, is made by the color of the demi-pointes. Pink and salmon-colored half-tips are recommended for dancers, and white and black half-tips for male dancers.

How to choose your slipper size?

When choosing your slippers, your feet should be able to spread out in the slipper, and above all not be tense.
To check your shoe size, simply stand up and walk up on half-point and then down flat several times, to feel whether your toes are tense or spread out.
If you have thin feet, choose your usual size. If your feet are normal or wide, choose one size above your usual size.

The little plus for carrying my slippers?

To store all your ballet accessories, you'll find an elegant pouch in your Decathlon dance department. Comprising two compartments, it provides separate storage for your half pointe shoes and other accessories such as your chignon kit, rosin and bandage.
