TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The safety pack

The mountains are a magnificent adventure playground, but they need to be explored with great care:
The minimum pack to accompany you is an avalanche transceiver + probe + shovel, but just because you have all 3 products doesn't mean you feel absolutely protected.

The DVA

Avalanche Victim Locator:
Used to locate a buried skier or hiker wearing an avalanche transceiver in transmit mode.
Used to be searched by a user using an avalanche transceiver in search mode.

The shovel

On average, shovelling takes longer than searching for the victim.
So you need to be efficient.

The probe

It can be used to locate the victim and determine the depth of burial.

Warning

Wear your avalanche transceiver as close to your body as possible to prevent it from tearing off.
Check that it is working properly on every outing.
Train regularly.
Know how to give up.
