The safety pack

The mountains are wonderful adventure terrain, but it's essential to explore them with care. The minimum safety package includes an avalanche beacon, probe and shovel. However, having this equipment does not guarantee total protection. It's crucial to know how to use them correctly and to remain vigilant in all circumstances.

The DVA

Avalanche Victim Locator (AVL):
Used to locate a buried skier or hiker wearing an AVL in transmit mode.
Can also be found by a user using an AVL in search mode.

This little jewel of technology is overboosted and features dynamic multi-victim management. With its 50m bandwidth, GROUP CHECK mode, tagging function, automatic return to transmit and interference management, the EVO5+ offers all the essential features for avalanche rescue operations.

Warning

Wear your avalanche transceiver as close to your body as possible to prevent it from becoming detached.
Check that it is in good working order before each outing.
Practise its use regularly.
Know when to abandon an outing in dangerous conditions.
