How to adjust the diabolo string?
The diabolo string should measure the length between the diaboloist's feet and armpits. Once the string has been cut, pass the end of the string through the hole at the end of the wand and tie a knot. You're now ready to practice.
The diabolo's rotation is accelerated by the rolling action, enabling you to perform a wide range of tricks and throws.
Which way to use the rolling diabolo if you're right- or left-handed?
Two different colors are present on each side of the bearing to distinguish the direction of the diabolo: the black color towards you for right-handers, and the white color towards you for left-handers.
You can consult our advice and learning videos on the DECATHLON Gymnastics YouTube channel.
How to make a diabolo?
Roll the diabolo from left to right (or vice versa for left-handers), then lift the string with a quick jerk. For right-handed players, use your right hand to make rapid vertical movements. To gain speed, rotate the string counter-clockwise around the diabolo. Resume your vertical movements. Then turn the string clockwise to undo the turn. You're ready to throw!
How do you protect your diabolo for transport and storage?
The diabolo comes with two white rings to protect the caps during transport and storage. We recommend that you replace these protections after each use to avoid deforming the caps (important for keeping the diabolo well balanced).
The transport bag supplied with the diabolo will enable you to take it with you wherever you want to practice.
