TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Synthetic wadding insulation

We use wadding for this down jacket.
Wadding offers 3 interesting qualities for hiking:
- it provides good thermal insulation even when wet
- it offers some breathability and may be recommended for dynamic activities (feather is recommended for static activities)
- compressibility: wadding is very compressible.

Water-repellent

Functionality achieved by applying a hydrophobic treatment to the fabric surface. This process prevents water from adhering to the fabric surface, allowing it to "slide off" without being absorbed. As a result, the garment remains light, breathable and warm.
This treatment can be renewed during the life of the product to maintain its effectiveness. Sprays to be applied on the outside are preferable to laundry additives, which could reduce the product's breathability.
