How did we improve the thermal insulation of this down jacket?
We've used H-panel technology to avoid thermal bridges between exterior and interior components.
What's more, this down jacket has several insulating bladders strategically placed where air is likely to penetrate:
- Neck
- Top of hood
- Front zip
- Cuffs
- Hips
What's the advantage of H-seams?
This down jacket has a partition between its inner and outer fabric. This creates a down-filled space that limits thermal bridges.
How did we extend the life of this down jacket?
This down jacket features tougher fabric inserts on the cuffs, shoulders and hood. The composition of these panels is 100% polyester at 96 g/m2 and 50 denier.
The main fabric, in 20 denier polyamide, is in reinforced mesh to limit the spread of tears.
However, a snag can always happen: you can repair it with one of our self-adhesive patches provided for this purpose.
What does this down jacket include?
This down jacket includes:
- A tightening hood
- A tightening bottom of jacket
- 2 hand pockets
- 2 breast pockets
- 3 inside pockets, including one with net
- A storage bag.
What are the advantages of duck down and feather filling?
This down jacket, stuffed with 90% down/10% feathers, has a loft of 800 cuin, giving it many qualities for trekking:
- Excellent warmth for minimal weight.
- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers
- Ultra-lightness: for equal warmth, feathers are lighter than synthetic wadding.
- Ultra-compressibility.
Is this down jacket water-repellent?
The main fabric of this down jacket is water-repellent, but not waterproof. It allows water droplets to roll off the fabric, delaying the penetration of water into the down jacket while you seek shelter.
The reinforcing fabric, strategically placed at the head, shoulders and wrists, is waterproof.
