HOW DOES THE DRAISIENNE CONTRIBUTE TO A CHILD'S PSYCHOMOTOR DEVELOPMENT?
Moving, learning and playing are all essential to a child's development.
Children can learn to balance, find their bearings in space and coordinate their movements, while immersing themselves in their imaginary worlds.
To get the most out of the product, it's just important to make sure the bike is the right size. Our draisienne fits children from 85cm to 105 cm approx.
OUR #1 CHOICE: EASE OF LEARNING
Each component has been specifically designed by our team BTWIN.
The low frame makes it easy for the child to get on and off the bike, as well as over obstacles such as kerbs and hills.
The footrest invites the child to take his feet off the ground and play with his balance. The position of the footrest prepares him to put his feet in the right place when he moves on to the bike.
Finally, the saddle rises to the rear to give the child support and propel himself efficiently.
IS THERE A CORNER LOCK?
We've chosen to leave the handlebars with a high degree of angle rotation, to give you more room to manoeuvre. Nevertheless, the shape of the frame stops the wheel's travel, so the handlebars can't reverse. This leaves the child free to progress safely.
PLAYFUL DESIGN
To appeal to children and parents alike, we offer a range of colors, inspired by city and sports codes.
Have you noticed the symbols on the frame? Different from one model to the next, they're sure to attract the attention of budding explorers. At this age, details are important!
A STUDIED WEIGHT
Our RUNRIDE 500 draisienne weighs 3.4 Kg. The difference in weight compared with the Runride 100 is due to the presence of a brake and bearings in the wheels.
INNOVATION STOP EASY: A PATENTED BRAKING SYSTEM FOR CHILDREN
A more accessible brake, a better grip - these are the advantages of our "Stop Easy System". The brake lever is pressed parallel to the handlebars for a more natural movement. While remaining progressive, this innovative brake lever delivers 30% more braking power than a conventional lever. An innovation from our team BTWIN, appreciated by children and parents alike.
A BRAKE LIKE THE BIG ONES
We've opted for a V-brake system with mini aluminum calipers. It has been designed specifically for draisienne use: the adjustment screw is positioned at the rear to avoid any friction with the child's legs. We've designed ribs on the brake pads that interlock with the ridges on the plastic rims, guaranteeing optimum braking performance. The slight sound of the brake pads rubbing against the rim is a sign of effective braking.
10-INCH WHEELS
The wheels are 10", with plastic rims and solid EVA foam tires, typically "hybrid" (all-terrain).
Note:
The edges of the foam tire are less regular, sometimes giving the impression that the wheel is warped. But rest assured, this is not the case!
To adjust your brake properly, simply spread the pads a little wider than on a bike with conventional wheels.
WHY IS BEARING QUALITY IMPORTANT?
The principle of the draisienne is based on the child's propulsion and subsequent search for balance. The quality of the ride comes into play, as this is what will enable the child to gain sufficient momentum to take off his feet and find his balance.
Our 500 model stands out from other models in its category on the market. The wheels are fitted with ball bearings, renowned for their efficiency.
ADJUSTMENT RANGE, A DETAIL THAT COUNTS
To ensure that our draisienne stays with your child for longer, we've extended the saddle adjustment range to 11 cm.
minimum saddle height: 30.2 cm
maximum saddle height: 41.2 cm
For children just starting out, the saddle height should correspond to their crotch height (so that their feet are flat on the ground).
The handlebars are also adjustable over a range of 8 cm.
handlebars min: 43.5 cm
handlebars max: 51.5 cm

WITH OR WITHOUT TOOLS?
We've also thought of parents. The seat height can be adjusted without tools thanks to the "Quick Release" system.

Two 5 mm Allen keys are required to remove the wheels.
These tools are supplied with the traisienne.
HOW ARE OUR DRAISIENNES TESTED?
All our draisiennes are laboratory-tested. These tests not only validate the EN-71 toy standard, but also verify the product's resistance and braking efficiency. These tests are supplemented by field tests, to ensure that our product meets the specifications for use, and "holds up" in real-life conditions, from the point of view of children, ...and parents!
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
The box contains the disassembled draisienne (wheels, handlebars and saddle removed) and the tools needed for assembly and adjustment.
Don't panic, you'll find instructions on how to do it. Your mini-rider will be able to enjoy a beautifully prepared and correctly sized draisienne.

HOW TO PRACTICE SAFELY?
Regulations prohibit the use of toys on public roads. The apprentice cyclist must therefore stay on the sidewalk. And for his or her own safety, protective equipment (helmet and protectors) is highly recommended.
