Equipment that doesn't compromise on safety
Protecting you effectively isOFFLOAD's primary objective. The design or feel may vary according to your needs or style of play, but the level of protection remains the same.
What does that mean?
All our shoulder pads offer the same level of protection, in compliance with World Rugby standards.
So what's the difference?
Here, comfort: with ergonomic pads, you can pass, tackle or jump into touch without any constraint on movement!
A product and a cartography co-designed with top-level players!
To offer a shoulder pad that's truly adapted to the game of rugby, whatever the level, we asked players in the Elite 1 to draw on a jersey the areas where they wanted to be protected. And after 2 years' work, prototypes and lots of testing, our 4-strong design team is proud to present protective equipment that has been co-designed and designed for the game!
Your shoulder pad complies with international federation standards
Play with peace of mind, even during matches: all our protections comply with World Rugby regulations (the international rugby federation). This standard imposes rules on foam composition in terms of density (less than 45 kg per M3) and thickness (less than 1 cm).
So why a maximum standard? To avoid over-commitment to the game.
A shoulder pad co-designed with players from Stade Toulousain and LMRCV, what does it look like?
Many details designed for the game and for your practice!
For example?
- We've adjusted the pads to protect the chest effectively.
- The foam is denser on the shoulders, to absorb impact, and cut into smaller zones on the shoulder blades, for greater freedom of movement.
- The central part of the shoulder pad is made of elastic fabric for greater flexibility, and the sides are made of breathable mesh, to evacuate heat and perspiration more quickly.
Protection, a team and partners:
Our design team is made up of a product manager, an engineer, a model maker and a designer. And to offer you a product adapted to the field, they have taken into account feedback from our technical partners: Maud Lanteaume, Yanna Rivoalen, Gabrielle Vernier. Our partners help us to improve our products by participating in all stages of design and validating them in tests reproducing all game situations.
Maud Lanteaume, Stade Toulousain player and department manager at the Colomiers store, talks about shoulder pads:
"I always wear it when I'm playing, and I feel good wearing it. It protects and reassures at the same time: the aim is to soften shocks. And it means you don't have to wear layers: you don't have to wear an undershirt underneath. The trick is to wear it close to the body, to avoid snagging or tearing. It's designed to be form-fitting."
CE marking
CE marking (in force since 1993) is the main indicator of a product's conformity to EU legislation, and enables free circulation within the European market.
