TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Concept & design

The design of this bridle has been primarily thought out to meet your horse's anatomical needs. All lines have been designed and placed to adapt to your horse's morphology, so that the bridle does not interfere with relaxed work. This model is elegant and refined thanks to its rhinestone browband and wide, glossy noseband.

Anatomical design: Bridge headrest

The nape of the neck is generally an area subject to pressure, which can come from the bridle's headpiece, but also from the rider's hand contact, reflected on the snaffle uprights hooked to the headpiece. To avoid this, we've designed a headpiece shape that frees up the occipital region and cervical vertebrae. The bridge design is framed by two soft foam pads on either side of the neck.

Anatomical design: head and forehead

The lower part of the headpiece is pre-shaped to free up the back of the ears, which are highly innervated and therefore have a major impact on the relaxation of the horse's mouth. In the same vein, we've designed a browband with a fine, high hook on the lower part of the headpiece to avoid pressure on the nerve endings above the rock and on your horse's temple.

Anatomical design: Noseband

The back of the noseband is equipped with two D-shaped rings, which allow the wide, foamed noseband pad to position itself correctly according to your horse's morphology. The noseband is fully removable for easy on/off depending on the rider's preference. The noseband loop retracts into the noseband. So when you're not using your noseband, the loop is invisible.

Undercut design

The noseband loop is placed under the cheeks to limit the number of loops near the ribbed areas of the head. Behind, it doesn't get in the way of your horse.

Reduces irritation

The areas most subject to pressure are lined with soft foam padding to enhance your horse's comfort. You'll find this fine padding on the headpiece (with particular attention paid to the back of the ears) as well as on the noseband and pull back.

Combination reins

This bridle is sold without reins so you can choose the type of grip and finesse you want. In our catalog, you'll find: smooth leather snaffle reins, smooth leather snaffle reins with grips on the inside and strap reins with stoppers. The choice depends on the level of grip and finesse you're looking for.

Tailor

The 900 dressage bridle is available in two sizes: Cob (CS) and Horse (FS). The CS size is suitable for small-headed horses and C or D ponies. The FS size is suitable for most riding horses.

Setting

As the noseband lining is thick and soft, it may take a few sessions to adapt to the shape of your horse's head. So it's normal for it to feel stiff at first. It will soften over time.

Our tips for checking that your bridle is suitable

A few simple gestures are all you need to check your bridle's adjustment. You can pass 1 finger between the muzzle and the browband to check that it is not too tight and pressing on the nerve zones mentioned above. You can then pass 1 finger between the headpiece and the back of the ears to check that it doesn't press too hard on the auricular area. When using the headband for the first time, please check that there is no irritation on your child's head.

Our tips for adjusting your noseband

The adjustment of the noseband has a major influence on your horse's relaxation. We recommend that you pass one finger between the muzzle and the noseband and 2 fingers between the noseband and the apophysis. If you have any doubts about the fit, don't hesitate to ask a professional for advice. The noseband is not always necessary, depending on the horse's needs. The 900 dressage bridle can be easily removed without the need for a noseband loop.

Maintenance tips

To preserve your bridle, we recommend regular care with glycerine soap applied to a sponge dampened with lukewarm water. You can then moisturize your leather with grease applied to a household or special leather cloth. If you feel that your leather is rough and dry, we invite you to complete this maintenance with moisturizing milk, which will deeply nourish your leather.
