Design & conception
Comfort, style and tradition come together here to best meet your horse's needs. The 580 bridle range is designed with subtle, practical lines and details to serve the horse's anatomy. The snaffles are made entirely of leather for an elegant look that enhances your horse's head. The 580 bridle is available in 3 versions, according to your preference: a stitched leather version, a leather version with glossy edging, and a rhinestone version with wide noseband.
Anatomical design: head & forehead
The lower part of the headpiece is pre-shaped to free up the back of the ears, which are highly innervated and therefore have a major impact on the relaxation of the horse's mouth. In the same vein, we've designed a browband with a fine, high hook on the lower part of the headpiece to avoid pressure on the nerve endings above the rock and on the temple.
Reduces irritation:
The areas most subject to pressure are lined with soft foam padding to enhance the horse's comfort. You'll find this fine padding on the headpiece, with particular attention paid to the nape of the neck, the browband and the noseband.
Combo reins :
This bridle has been specially developed for use with 580 reins with large pins. You'll find the same small details, finishes and, of course, the same leather color on these reins. If you're looking for smaller pins and finer, softer reins, the 900 reins are also compatible with the 580 bridle line. Bridle sold without reins.
Tailor :
580 nets are available in two sizes: Cob(CS) and Horse(FS). The CS size is suitable for small-headed horses and D ponies, while the FS size is suitable for most riding horses. Its size is rather large, thanks to its many adjustment possibilities for medium and large horses. The 580 black rhinestone net is also available in PS size for large B ponies, C ponies and small D ponies.
Setting :
The noseband features roller buckles for easy adjustment. The snap hook on the throat latch lets you attach it with just 1 clip!
How to check that your bridle fits?
A few simple gestures are all you need to check the adjustment of your thread. You can pass 1 finger between the chamfer and the browband to check that it's not pressing too hard on the nerve zones detailed above. You can then pass 1 finger between the headpiece and the back of the ears to check that it's not pressing too hard on the auricular area. For the first few uses, check that no irritation appears on your horse's head.
A well-tuned noseband:
The adjustment of the noseband has a major influence on your horse's relaxation. We recommend that you pass one finger between the muzzle and the noseband and 2 fingers between the noseband and the apophysis. If you have any doubts about the fit, don't hesitate to ask a professional for advice. The nose-band is not always necessary, depending on the horse's needs. The noseband on the 580 bridle can be easily removed without any noseband loops showing!
Care instructions :
To preserve your netting, we recommend regular care with glycerine soap applied to a sponge dampened with lukewarm water. You can then moisturize your leather with grease applied to a household or special leather cloth. If you feel that your leather is rough and dry, you can complete this maintenance with moisturizing milk, which will deeply nourish your leather.
