Description (1)
Featuring a softer flex with our asymmetrical shape, the Muon-X is a great value binding for beginner to intermediate riders looking to improve. The fiberglass-filled nylon base and spoiler have been designed for a perfect fit with all Nidecker boots. We've kept it responsive from heel to toe, using off-axis Powerbeams to distribute energy more efficiently to the edges.
Description (2)
However, we've kept the binding less rigid laterally so that it's more forgiving if your technique isn't yet perfect. The extra flex is also ideal when you're ready to try new tricks. A sturdy ComfortFit ankle strap offers plenty of padding and can be adjusted easily without any tools.
Description (3)
We've paired it with the same AuxTech® toe strap as our high-end models, which intelligently fits around your boots for exceptional support. Both straps feature lightweight nylon Proton buckles for easy, reliable operation. It's a comfortable, versatile and highly durable fastening you won't soon want to do without.
Stance, binding spacing
The stance is the distance between the 2 bindings, measured in cm. It can be adapted to your own morphology, but all snowboards have a recommended position for the bindings (recommanded stance, materialized by a mark between the binding inserts). If you feel the need to move your feet further apart or closer together on the board, do the test to see if you're actually better off.
How can I vary the distance between my feet on the board?
For on- and off-piste boards:
If you want to tighten your feet, it's best to move the front binding back only.
Conversely, if you want to spread your feet, it's best to move the rear binding back. The aim is to be a little further back to make better turns on the piste and float more in powder.
For freestyle boards (symmetrical):
It's best to move the 2 bindings to stay centered on the board.
What angles should I put on my snowboard bindings?
For a piste-freeride program, we recommend +18° at the front and 0° at the rear. For all-round freestyle use, we recommend +18° and -6°. The rear foot opening allows you to switch. For pure freestyle use, don't hesitate to choose completely symmetrical angles +15° and -15°, for example.
The choice of angles on bindings is very personal. Don't hesitate to see what others are doing and give it a try. You may be in for a pleasant surprise!
