HD pigeon shape designed to maximize chances of attracting goshawks
This plastic is the first woodpigeon half-form developed entirely by our teams. Our aim at Solognac is to make it easier for the woodpigeon to meet the hunter, by shortening the distance between the bird and the fancier. The realism of this plastic, in terms of color, volume and position, plays a fundamental role in your chances of attracting the wild pigeon.
The steps involved in designing this first form of pigeon Solognac
This shape took many months to develop. It all began with the work of a woodcarver, who brought the first prototype to life. This was followed by 3D modeling, and various adjustments to volume and attitude, in order to create a true-to-life blette. Various phases of colorimetry and 3D texturing of the feathers, punctuated by field tests, resulted in a shape with ultra-realistic colors.
Realism of form: an essential factor for all pigeon-hunting enthusiasts
When hunting woodpigeons by air, it's vital that the ground set-up is as massive, complete and realistic as possible to fool the goshawks. Thanks to this shape, the package formed (to be placed with the bill into the wind in particular) maximizes your chances of attracting them. The paint used imitates the colors of the bird as closely as possible, and is also resistant to damage from sunlight, rain, sand and rubbing against other shapes during transport, for example.
High-quality, weather-resistant paint: the big plus of this shape
In a field of wheat, maize or rapeseed, this "mute" is frighteningly effective. Why is that? Not least because of the high-quality paint used, combined with a flaming step to extend the product's lifespan. We know that you often use the same shapes from one season to the next, so we wanted above all to offer a caller with resistant paint designed to withstand the vagaries of weather, transport and storage conditions.
A versatile shape: two possible positions thanks to the integrated clip-on stem
When you go out on foot, you're often loaded down: rifle, carriage bag... It's not uncommon in woodpigeon hunting to carry 15, 20, 30 or even more shapes. So, on the top of our new model, we've positioned 2 holes: you can choose whether the shape imitates a wood pigeon eating or a standing pigeon, thanks to the integrated rod. The rod fits neatly under the shape (no need to carry the elements separately and risk losing the rod).
How to place shapes on the floor?
It's advisable not to set up your pigeon forms at random. There are 3 main factors to take into account: the wind direction, the direction of arrival of the pigeons, and the positioning of your post. There are several possible attachments, but if conditions are ideal (the wind is blowing at your back and the pigeons are arriving head-on), then place the forms 20-25m from your blind, drawing a wide "U" on the ground so that the woodpigeons come to rest in the middle.
Increase your chances of attracting goshawks with these tips
To further enhance the realism of your hitch, we recommend you add our other new 100 hulls and movable shapes placed upwind (such as hypaflaps or pigeon shapes with rotating wings to allow movement). Wear camo clothing and don't neglect your blind! Take a look at our shield mount. Thanks to these tips, you'll be able to spot woodpigeons in the distance, slow down, hover and come down to pose.
