When hunting wood pigeons by air, it's vital that the harness is as realistic as possible. The velvet treatment used on this model limits the shine caused by the sun's rays as much as possible, and brings out the different shades of color. After extensive field testing, we're convinced that this shape will enhance the realism of your hitch.
The steps involved in designing this pigeon shape with velvet finish
This shape required several stages of development. Following on from the work carried out on the 500 shape, we applied a velvet coating to this 900 level. Specifically, our teams carried out extensive research to select the best possible velvet quality, while applying the right number of colors for an ultra-realistic rendering.
A versatile chopstick: two possible positions thanks to the integrated clip-on stem
When you go out on foot, you're often loaded down: rifle, carriage bag... It's not uncommon when hunting woodpigeons to carry 15, 20, 30 shapes, even more. So for maximum variety, the top of this model has 2 holes: you can choose whether the shape imitates a wood pigeon eating or a standing pigeon, thanks to the integrated rod. The rod fits neatly under the form (no need to carry the elements separately and risk losing the rod).
Mesh carry bag included
Listening to our users, our teams have noted that some enthusiasts have expressed the wish to have a carrying bag to store and not damage the velvet finish of their wood pigeon forms. We've listened to your comments: with this model, we're offering a mesh carrying bag, which closes with a drawstring to protect the blette during transport. Why mesh? Because it's easy to clean if mud or sand gets on it.
How to place your shapes on the floor?
It's advisable not to set up your pigeon forms at random. There are 3 main factors to take into account: the wind direction, the direction of arrival of the pigeons, and the positioning of your post. There are several possible attachments, but if conditions are ideal (the wind is blowing at your back and the pigeons are arriving head-on), then place the forms 20-25m from your blind, drawing a wide "U" on the ground so that the woodpigeons come to rest in the middle.
Increase your chances of attracting goshawks with these tips
To further enhance the realism of your hitch, we recommend you add our 100 hulls, 500 chaff and movable shapes facing into the wind (such as hypaflaps or pigeon shapes with rotating wings to allow movement). Wear camo clothing and don't neglect your blind! Take a look at our shield mount. Thanks to these tips, you'll be able to spot woodpigeons in the distance, slow down, hover and come down to pose.
