COMPONENT WATER REPELLENCY
All Wedze gloves and mittens benefit from a water-repellent treatment that prevents the fabric from absorbing water, letting it slide off the surface. In this way, the fabric does not become waterlogged. It remains light and warm. Water repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outside of the fabric. To remain effective, this treatment must be renewed every 2 to 3 washes with specific products, available in our stores.
WATERPROOF MEMBRANE
This ski glove incorporates a waterproof membrane consisting of a very thin polymer film placed between the lining and the part of the glove in contact with the outside. This membrane acts as a water barrier, making the product waterproof. In addition, the outer materials of the product benefit from a water-repellent treatment that limits water absorption. Only rubber gloves are waterproof. In extreme humidity conditions, a glove with a membrane will have limited water resistance.
WINDSTOPPER
All Wedze gloves and mittens are windproof. Did you know that wind makes you feel colder? With an outside temperature of 0°C and a wind speed of 20 km/h, the perceived temperature is -10°C. Windproof components help reduce the cooling effects of wind or the relative speed of sporting activity.
ANTI-LOSS SECURITY
An elastic cord, positioned around the wrist, allows you to remove your gloves on the ski lifts without the risk of losing them.
WHAT IS GLOVE / MITTEN DEXTERITY?
This is the glove's ability to manipulate objects. The dexterity of each of our gloves was rated in field tests, on a scale of 1 to 5. When the glove's dexterity is rated at 5, object handling with the glove is the same as with bare hands.
To assess the dexterity level of our gloves, we tested their ability to remove and put back on ski masks, adjust ski boot hooks and open and close jacket zippers.
