TECHNICAL INFORMATION

How is the operating temperature measured?

Our gloves are laboratory-tested using a thermal hand. Minimum temperatures of use (recommended and limits) are based on a study carried out on a panel of 23 testers in a walking situation exposed to temperatures ranging from 5°C to -20°C and a 10 km/h wind. These temperatures apply to walking conditions only. MT900 windproof gloves are rated 3 out of 5 for warmth. Recommended temperature: -5°C Limit temperature: -10°C.

How do you protect your hands from the cold?

Just as you wear several layers when dressing for trekking, you can wear under-gloves that act as thermal underwear and windproof over-gloves. This multi-layer system allows air to flow around your hands, effectively insulating them from the cold! Make sure your gloves are large enough to prevent your fingers from being compressed. Compression slows down blood circulation in the fingers.
