Automatic release system
When dropped into water, the salt tablet dissolves instantly, releasing the firing pin and piercing the compressed CO2 cylinder. This allows the bladder to inflate in a matter of seconds. As it inflates, the bladder opens the vest's zipper.
To put the vest back on:
- deflate it using the back of the pipette cap.
- fold back the bladder and zip up the textile envelope.
Change the cartridge and salt tablet as instructed in the reset kit.
Advice on rearming the vest.
Please follow the order of assembly:
1. Replacing the salt tablet
2. Replacing the CO² cartridge
If you do not follow this assembly sequence, you run the risk of colliding with the new cartridge if the salt tablet release system has been used previously.
Expiration dates
WARNING:
The dates on the CO² cartridge and the salt tablet have different meanings:
salt tablet = expiration date. The salt tablet must be replaced once this date has passed
CO² cartridge = date of manufacture. The cartridge must be replaced 5 years after this date.
Put flashlight in vest
Attaching a flashlight is easy!
- Open the vest's zipper
- Clip the flashlight onto the strap (left or right)
- Let the connector (at the end of the wire) hang down from the vest, this is what will light the flashlight when it comes into contact with water.
