Our cross-country designers have developed this warm vest for the cross-country skier who practices at low intensity and/or in cold weather.

With its windproof component and quilted lining, the 100 vest is comfortable and warm, providing protection from the cold and wind. The back of the vest is vented for breathability.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

HEAT

To keep you warm during your cross-country skiing outings, this vest is designed with wadding.
Wadding is a synthetic component based on polyester fiber that stores a large quantity of air. Air is highly insulating, so
the wadding filling offers protection against the cold. This vest can be worn over a technical t-shirt or as a second layer in cold weather.

How can I stay warm and dry on my cross-country ski outings?

We recommend that you follow the 3-layer technique.
Layer 1: second skin (technical undergarment) which allows moisture transfer to keep the skin dry.
Layer 2: insulating (T-shirt, fleece, vest) which provides warmth and moisture transfer.
Layer 3: outer and protective (jacket) which protects against bad weather: wind, snow and cold.

Adapt the number of layers according to the intensity of your effort and the weather.

Why protect yourself from the wind?

Did you know that wind makes you feel colder?
For example, at an outside temperature of 0° with 20 km/h of wind, the perceived temperature will be -10°.
Windproof components reduce this cooling effect by preventing the circulation of air caused by wind or the relative speed of the sports activity.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

We have incorporated 90% recycled polyamide into this product. What does this mean? That in addition to being technical, this product has been designed with its environmental impact in mind. In short: polyamide is a synthetic material made from petroleum. Using recycled polyamide means recovering and transforming production offcuts or products destined to be thrown away, instead of using new oil resources. And that's already a step, isn't it?

Our design team is based at the foot of Mont-Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All our products are field-tested in real-life conditions by our panel of professional testers who are instructors and trainers, as well as regular cross-country skiers.
Our garments are also subjected to laboratory tests: color bleeding, washing, marking resistance, yellowing.
