Why use a weighted vest for bodybuilding, cross-training or strengthening?
The weighted vest allows you to increase the difficulty and progress of your bodyweight exercises. Do you prefer to perform functional movements without wearing dumbbells in weight training, do you want to multiply the intensity of your WOD or do you want to build muscle as a complement to another sport through precise work? The weighted vest adapts to your needs and enables you to improve the results of your multi-joint exercises.
How to use your weighted vest
The advantage of a weighted vest is that you can perform multi-joint exercises with the weight distributed between the front and back of the chest. Here are just a few examples:
- Dips, for triceps, shoulders and pectorals.
- Pull-ups, for biceps and back muscles.
- Muscle-ups, for the whole chest.
- What about thighs? We recommend single- or double-leg squats.
How to adjust your weighted vest in three easy steps?
For effective adjustment, position the hooks on the back according to your morphology: the more the hooks are in the center of the back, the tighter your vest will be around your waist.
Next, adjust the shoulder straps according to the size of your rib cage to benefit from good support during your exercises.
Finally, put on your vest and tighten it around your waist thanks to the Velcro straps on the front.
And for uninterrupted sessions, take the time to adjust it properly before you start.
6 kg or 10 kg? We explain:
Your vest alone weighs 6 kg. It is supplied with 4 plates of 1 kg, which you can distribute on the front and back of the vest, to go up to 10 kg.
Why this choice? Because a 6kg ballast corresponds to the RX of women's WODs, and a 9kg ballast corresponds to the RX of men's WODs in cross training.
This way, in bodybuilding, strength training or cross training, your vest is ready to take you further!
The vest is not designed/approved for weights over 10kg.
Here are a few details of a design conceived for performance:
- The 1 kg plates have a handle for easy handling.
- The vest's snug fit limits movement during your workouts.
- The tightening straps feature elastic fabric: so you can breathe and your vest stays tight!
- The straps on the shoulder straps let you adjust your settings in an instant during your workouts.
- The plates allow for a compact shape, for getting very low during push-ups.
