TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Vest type (Stab / BCD)

The SCD 900 diving stabilizer vest (stab/BCD) from SUBEA is an "enveloping" type of vest: the volume of air is distributed over the entire enveloped surface of the body, providing considerable buoyancy and better support in the vertical position. In particular, this provides greater comfort during surface phases.
The SCD 900 vest is comfortable by design, and its fit is optimized with a harness featuring a wide ventral strap, a chest strap and patented shoulder straps.

A mixed stabilizer vest with patented V-shaped straps: the Rgomoove concept

The exclusive shape of the shoulder straps frees the arms while providing better support. The shape of the straps also prevents compression of the chest, making this vest suitable for both men and women. The shape and size of the buckles on the straps make them easy and precise to adjust. For easy adjustment, we recommend pulling the straps from the shoulders towards the hips (the direction of the strap), not downwards.

Accessories to keep everything secure and tidy!

5 carrying rings: 1 anodized 3D ring on the left shoulder, 2 on the right shoulder, 2 anodized 3D rings on the hips and 1 PVC ring inside each pocket.
2 pockets with removable weights, each holding 3 kg + 2 pockets with fixed weights ("trim" weight) on the back
The chest strap has an integrated whistle for signaling on the surface.

Ease of use

The vent pulls have been moved forward (to the chest for the high vent, and to the belly under the right pocket for the low vent). Their shape and the choice of metallic grey color also make them easier to grip (for the diver or buddy).
The two large side pockets are ideal for storing a wide range of accessories. They are equipped with injected plastic zippers to prevent salt from sticking to them and jamming.

Carrying comfort

For added comfort, the SCD 900 vest is equipped with a rigid backrest complemented by a soft 3D-compressed foam plate at the points of support on the back.
The shoulder straps are also reinforced to provide greater flexibility at the shoulders.
The chest strap is designed with elastic zones to fit the vest perfectly on the back and hips.

Maintenance tips

1/Rinse your vest thoroughly with clean water. Pay particular attention to the bleed nipples and inflator. 2/Evacuate any water in the vest by operating the lower bleed valve. Do not store water in the vest's inflatable bladder.
3/Dry your vest on a wide hanger out of direct sunlight.

Inspect your vest yourself every year, looking for any signs of wear. Inflate (by mouth) the inflatable chamber, wait 12 hours and check that it hasn't deflated.

Overhaul of stabilizing jackets

Your stabilizing vest should be inspected and serviced by an authorized SUBEA center at least every two years, and more often if you dive frequently.
