TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Operating mode

This thermoelectric or Peltier-effect cooler, in MAX refrigeration mode, can reach a temperature of 17°C below an ambient temperature of 32°C, without the need for additional cooling (e.g. ice packs).

Security

Do not place anything on the top of the cooler in the area of the vents (gray part).
In some vehicles, the cigarette-lighter plugs continue to operate when the vehicle is stationary, without the ignition switched on. In this case, unplug your cooler to avoid discharging your car's battery.
If the outside temperature is low (below 15°C), the cooler's motor switches off momentarily to prevent the formation of ice.

Directions for use

To increase the thermal performance of your electric cooler, we recommend:
- Keep it connected in MAX mode (50 dB). The 1st mode is recommended at night (when the outside temperature is lower); it attenuates the noise, 38 dB at 50 cm above the motor,
- Finish inflating it by mouth using the valve,
- Use ice packs,
- Leave your cooler in the shade,
- Open it only when necessary and close it quickly.

Power consumption

Mains and cigarette-lighter adapters are supplied with the cooler.
The cooler consumes in first mode:
- 16 Wh at 220 V (mains plug)
- 16 Wh at 12 V (cigarette-lighter plug)
The cooler consumes in MAX mode (second mode):
- 56 Wh at 220 V
- 50 Wh at 12 V
Consumption figures are given with a tolerance of plus or minus 5 Wh.

Power cables

220V cable: 165 cm long - EU socket - C7 plug - Section: 2 X 0.75 mm²
12V cable: 195 cm long - cigar lighter socket - cooler plug - Section: 2 X 0.75 mm² - 7A fuse

Information

This cooler is not a refrigerator, and the inside temperature will change during your stay. To improve the performance of your cooler, you can place ice packs inside.
Depending on the outside temperature, you may get some water due to condensation. You'll need to drain it off.
We advise against placing ice cubes inside the cooler. Excessive humidity may damage your product.

Dimensions

Unfolded, the cooler measures: Height: 46 cm | Length: 43 cm | Width: 33 cm
Inside dimensions: Height: 32.5 cm | Length: 35 cm | Width: 27 cm
Folded, the cooler is more compact and measures: Height: 22 cm | Length: 43 cm | Width: 33 cm

Waterproofing

Warning! This cooler is waterproof if you attach the bag inside.
However, it is normal for moisture or water to be present inside the cooler (through condensation, for example).
The bag is supplied, but if you need to order a new bag, copy the code in brackets (8502029) and paste it into our search bar on decathlon.fr.

Maintenance

The waterproof bag is removable, protecting the cooler from dirt and preventing you from having to clean your product too often.
The bottom of the cooler is removable for easy cleaning. Simply pull the small tab.

Insulation

This cooler is made of polyurethane foam for improved thermal insulation.

Carrying comfort

You can carry it alone with the shoulder strap or with 2 people thanks to the handles on the sides.

Folding

By folding, you can reduce the volume of the cooler to save space. Here are our tips for ideal folding:
- Open the valve, close the zip,
- Place the cooler horizontally, valve side up, and grasp both sides with your hands,
- Squeeze to release the air,
- Return to the vertical position without releasing the sides and press on the top to compress it as much as possible,
- Close the valve,
- Pass the elastic band around the cooler to keep it closed.

Resistance

We use a 600-denier* polyester-reinforced fabric (PES) on the bottom of the cooler to increase its resistance in a wilderness and mountain environment.

*The denier indicates the weight in grams of the fabric thread for a length of 9 meters; i.e. for a 600-denier fabric, a weight of 600 g for a 9-meter length.

STOCK TIPS

We recommend that you store your cooler in a clean, dry place. It's best to wash and dry your cooler before storing it.

TESTS

European standard EN 12546-2 specifies the performance of coolers without cold accumulators.
To obtain this standard, tests are carried out by an external laboratory. These tests involve placing water at 5°C in the cooler, which is itself placed in a 32°C environment. The aim is to measure the time it takes met for the water to warm up to a temperature of 15°C. In the case of this cooler, the measured time is 96 h.
