TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Where and why apply gun oil?

Your gun, made mainly of metal, requires special care to prevent corrosion. Our gun oil is specially designed for this purpose, with its corrosion inhibitor. Another possible use for gun oil is to reduce friction between two mechanical parts, to smooth the mechanism and prevent wear due to excessive friction. This oil also helps protect your gun during prolonged storage.

Recommended for external use.

Depending on the surface to be covered, the method of application may vary. In the case of a large surface, the most practical and uniform method is to soak a soft cloth in oil and rub the parts to be protected with it. For a more localized application, a few drops can be poured directly onto the weapon and spread with a cloth or cotton bud, depending on the geometry of the area to be treated.

Application advice for mechanical parts

In addition to protecting the metal, oil also reduces friction between mechanical parts in contact. The aim is twofold: to make the mechanics or action run more smoothly with less effort, but also to protect them from more or less rapid wear due to steel-on-steel friction. It's important to know, however, that it's not advisable to apply oil directly or indirectly (dripping) to the trigger mechanism. The risk is that the trigger may start unexpectedly.

Operating temperature range

The operating range of any oil is the temperature range within which the oil remains in its liquid form. Our oil retains its liquid form between -20°C and +244°C. Below this temperature range, you run the risk of transforming the oil into a solid form, potentially blocking or hindering proper mechanical operation. Above this temperature range, the oil may self-combust.
