A kimono to suit your style?
In karate, there are many schools: for example, the French federation's website lists 32 styles of karate.
With its short skirt and long sleeves, your kimono offers a European cut that is suitable for most styles and is focused on Shotokan karate.
Sold without the belt.
What is the material of your kimono?
To help you get started in karate, we offer a kimono made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton. What's in it for you? To give you greater resistance, to dry faster and, above all, to avoid shrinking when you wash your kimono at 30°C!
And with its 220 g/m² (8 oz) fabric, your kimono remains lightweight, so you can move around and perform your techniques with ease.
Introducing the design of your Karate 100 kimono
Whatever your style, we offer a karategi that's attractive, technical and adapted:
- The pants are cut to fit pitaines and shin guards
- The jacket is fitted at the hips for an elegant fit
- The jacket's amplitude at the torso allows you to perform all your arm techniques without constraint
- The notches on the sides of the jacket give you more freedom for all your leg movements, even in the low position.
Our design team tells the story of our new range of kimonos:
"We had to rewrite everything, starting from scratch. The priorities were to rework the materials and the cut, to offer attractive kimonos in keeping with karate codes. And above all, we wanted to put ourselves in the shoes of karate practitioners." What followed were dozens of prototypes and tests with some twenty karatekas, until we had a kimono that was just right and well-balanced.
Enrique, product manager at Outshock and karate black belt, explains his vision kimonos.
"I hope the kimonos will appeal to even the most demanding and purist of people. We wanted to put our finger on what the kimono is for us, on the importance of notions of form and technique, on following the body's movements. The kimono helps you embrace the form and technique of your karate."
