Checking your Easybreath mask before use
Before each use, check your Easybreath, especially your child's:
- Take the snorkel in your hand and move it from left to right. The ball should follow the movement without constraint
- Check that the seal is present, in good condition and in the correct position
- Check that all valves are present, not deformed, and that they are firmly seated against their support
- The skirt should fit perfectly over the mask
- Never use the mask without the snorkel.
What should I do if I fog up?
If your eyes fog up, please repeat the 4 steps described above, reposition your Easybreath mask correctly and check that the Easybreath is the right size for your face. If the problem persists, do not use the mask and contact your nearest Decathlon store.
Snorkeling safety
Snorkeling is a simple, fun activity for the whole family! Breathing through a snorkel is more demanding than simply swimming. If you feel tired, short of air or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water.
Do not use this product if you have cardiovascular or respiratory problems (lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). Consult your doctor if you have any doubts.

What is Easybreath?
The Decathlon Easybreath 500 mask is the second generation of the full-face snorkeling mask invented by Decathlon.
It has the same features as the old model: Vision 180°, anti-fog, easy to put on... and we've improved the mask's sturdiness, the comfort of the skirt, and breathing by reducing the inspiratory effort by 20%. It also features a new innovation: dry-top-release. You'll no longer experience the phenomenon of blocked breathing when passing through a wave.
How does Easybreath work?
Fresh air is projected onto the glass before reaching the nose or mouth via the nasal valves. This constant flow of fresh air reduces the risk of fogging.
Air laden with moisture and CO² is evacuated through channels in the mask's frame, which carry the air into the snorkel. The air is constantly renewed. Incoming and outgoing air flows are separated, avoiding the re-mixing of polluted air and allowing you to breathe only fresh air.

Can I dive with my Easybreath 500?
The Easybreath 500 is not suitable for diving. The volume of air contained in this snorkeling mask is greater than that contained in a traditional diving mask. At depths of just 1m, the pressure of the mask on the face becomes noticeable. What's more, when you're apnea diving, you need to decompress. With the Easybreath Subea mask, this is impossible, as the nose is inaccessible.
Why choose an Easybreath rather than a traditional snorkel mask?
The Easybreath is the preferred choice for users who have reservations about snorkeling or descending to depth. The Easybreath snorkeling mask is ideal for surface aquatic activity. It offers natural nose-to-mouth breathing and a wide field of vision at vision.
Can I wear easybreath 500 if I have a beard?
Beard hair prevents good contact between facial skin and mask skirt. Waterproofing cannot therefore be guaranteed for bearded wearers. The best way to guarantee impermeability is to shave. Failing that, the use of a thick ointment such as Vaseline can also be a solution.
How does the dry-top system work?
It was developed to prevent water from entering through the snorkel when there are choppy waters, ripples on the surface or when the user leans his or her head too far forward to observe the bottom. The snorkel is fitted with a buoy which, when immersed, rises into the snorkel to block the entrance. In the event of immersion, remember to blow as you surface to make sure you let the buoy go back down.
Can I wear glasses with my Easybreath mask?
Most eyeglass frames will prevent the mask from sealing properly by deforming the mask skirt. This makes it difficult to use the Easybreath with prescription glasses.
Subea has developed corrective lenses that attach to the inside of the mask with a suction cup. You can choose the correction of each lens (from -1 to -6) and assemble them according to your needs.
What precautions should I take with my Easybreath 500?
Watch out for sand! Avoid bringing your Easybreath 500 full-face mask into contact with sand, which will scratch the mask glass. If sand is present, don't force the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before clipping them together. Sand can also block the float inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a wrench through the snorkel's rear vents to unblock the float, then rinse the snorkel.
