Contents of 10kg dumbbell kit
- 1 full bar of 2 kg, diameter 28 mm, length 35 cm,
- 2 stop discs,
- 4 weights of 1 kg diameter 28 mm (135 mm diameter, thickness 13 mm)
- 2 weights of 2 kg diameter 28 mm (175 mm diameter, thickness 18 mm)
All weights are made of cast iron, so they last a long time (provided they are stored in a dry place).
Why choose cast-iron weights rather than plastic or vinyl?
The advantages of cast iron are numerous:
- density: its compactness allows you to increase the number of discs on the bar. This makes it easier to load your bar, and gives you a variety of exercises
- durability: unlike vinyl and plastic, which can wear out quickly, cast-iron can be kept for life!
What are the advantages of cast iron?
- resistance: it is 5 times more resistant to crushing than vinyl
- texture: its textured surface gives it maximum grip, even with wet hands. Where plastic and vinyl would be slippery.
Choosing cast-iron weights means opting for efficiency and reliability in your training.
Use your 10 kg dumbbell kit safely
Stop discs must always be installed on the barbell after loading.
Please note that they cannot support more than 15kg in a hammer grip (vertical).
Maximum weight per bar: 30kg
What body-building accessories are needed to vary the exercises you do with your kit?
For more exercise possibilities, you can equip yourself with a bench (ref: 8616804) to do a dumbbell bench press, for example.
Our coach suggests a toning session to do with this 10kg kit.
Upper-body work:
- Dumbbell sit-ups 3 to 4 sets of 12 to 15 repetitions
- Dumbbell rows 3 to 4 sets of 12 to 15 repetitions
Lower-body work:
- Dumbbell lunges 3x12 for each leg
Always keep a 2-rep margin, and recover 1 minute between sets.
You can increase the load or number of repetitions from one session to the next.
Take care of your cast-iron weights
Moisture is the enemy of cast iron, so always store your weights and bar in a dry place.
Clean the bar and weights with a damp cloth after each session.
Then store your kit in a dry place!
Never store your bar or weights outdoors or in a cellar.
