Snorkeling safety
Snorkeling is a simple, fun activity for the whole family! Breathing through a snorkel is more demanding than simply swimming. If you feel tired, short of air or dizzy, remove your mask and snorkel and get out of the water.
Use of this product is not recommended if you have cardiovascular problems (lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). If in doubt, consult your doctor.
Valve
When freediving, water can enter the snorkel through immersion or splashing. The valve is located at the bottom of the snorkel to facilitate water expulsion. Thanks to the valve, most of the water is expelled from the bottom, requiring less effort to exhale (unlike a conventional snorkel, where water is expelled from the top).
Valve operation
Simply blow gently to empty the snorkel through the valve. After blowing, take care to breathe in gently, as residual water may remain in the snorkel. If in doubt, don't panic. Lift your head out of the water and the snorkel instantly empties through the valve. Intense swimming at high speed is not recommended, as it can cause the valve to move and lead to water ingress.
Valve maintenance
If sand or salt gets trapped between the valve and the hard part of the snorkel, the valve will no longer lie flat and its sealing function will be impaired. Simply rinse the snorkel thoroughly with clean water and make sure the valve lies flat again.
Nozzle
The part of the snorkel that is placed in the mouth. Its specially designed shape makes it one of the most comfortable snorkels in the mouth.
Snorkel tube
The size and volume of the snorkel are adapted to adult breathing.
Deflector
The deflector is the part at the top of the snorkel. Its curved shape creates a protective shield that limits water ingress from the top of the snorkel.
Tailor
Size M is designed for slim faces and size L covers wide faces.
Silicone
Silicone is an extremely flexible material. A silicone skirt gently adapts to the contours of the face, ensuring a watertight seal. The silicone mouthpiece provides added comfort in the mouth.
Tempered glass
Tempered glass is two to five times stronger than conventional glass. When broken, it shatters into small pieces, preventing major accidents.
Certification
Mask complies with safety requirements and European standards EN 16805: 2015. Certified by INPP (Institut National de Plongée Professionnelle).
0% PVC
This mask and snorkel kit contains no PVC materials.
