The benefits of these laces in a nutshell
These laces have been developed to provide a high level of wear resistance. They are all waterproofed, so they won't absorb any water that might get into your shoes.
The chosen shape is flat to enable more comfortable lacing on softer shoes. Its FLAT shape also makes for more effective knot-tying, as knots are less likely to come loose because the friction surfaces are larger.
How long should your laces be?
The easiest way to determine the desired length of your laces is to compare them with your old laces. But the number of eyelets also gives a good indication.
What shape of laces should I choose? Flat or round laces?
Round shoelaces:
Advantage: they slide better through the eyelets and are easier and more even to tighten.
Disadvantage: they come loose more quickly.
Flat shoelaces:
Advantage: they are less likely to come loose.
Disadvantage: they slide less easily through the eyelets and are therefore harder to tighten.
