YOU ARE A BEGINNER SURFER
You're new to surfing or only surf a few times a year, on vacation or on a surf trip. You stay where you are, in small waves or foam. You practice for the pleasure of being in the water and for the sensations it gives you. During your sessions, you often fall, but you fall in waves that are not very powerful. We've designed a wide range of swimsuits to suit your occasional practice and your morphology.
PROTECTS AGAINST UV EVEN WHEN WET.
The fabric used in this UV protection product OLAIAN blocks at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA rays (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection. It can be used in and out of the water for water sports. UV filtration is generated by the density of the textile fibers, making this protection long-lasting, even after washing. Caution: the elastane contained in the fiber may deteriorate in chlorinated water.
LEG PROTECTION DURING THE SURF SESSION
These leggings provide protection against friction with the board, particularly on the knees when lying on the board and on the inner thighs when sitting on the board.
WHAT DOES UPF 50+ MEAN?
UPF is a globally standardized sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor). It defines the textile's level of protection, and more precisely the proportion of UV transmission. To meet standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.
WAVE-HOLDING SYSTEM
The sheathing waistband keeps the leggings in position even if you fall into the waves. The drawstring at the front of the waistband can be used to connect an anti-UV tee shirt to prevent it from riding up. Please note that this cord does not tighten the waistband.
We recommend the use of a women's top 500 UV protection tee shirt OLAIAN (available in short and long sleeves) as a complement to these leggings to be well protected.

Our UV-resistant leggings are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers.
Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as swimming, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, active ocean walking (longe-côte) or SUP (stand-up paddle).
BEHAVIOR IN THE SUN
Although these leggings provide protection from the sun, phenomena such as reverberation (on water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account. Wearing leggings doesn't mean you don't need to take appropriate precautions, such as wearing a UV-protective T-shirt, sunglasses, a hat or cap, regular application of a suitable sun cream, and drinking regularly.
