Surfing is your favorite sport. During your sessions, you paddle to the line up, passing the bar like a duck if you're on a shortboard, or like a turtle if you're on a longboard. You show your commitment in powerful waves of over one meter. We've designed a range to suit your intensive use and your body type.
PROTECTS AGAINST UV EVEN WHEN WET.
The fabric used in this UV protection product OLAIAN blocks at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA rays (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection. It can be used in and out of the water for water sports. UV filtration is generated by the density of the textile fibers, making this protection long-lasting, even after washing. Please note that the elastane in the fleece may deteriorate in chlorinated water.
WHAT DOES UPF 50+ MEAN?
UPF is a globally standardized sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor). It defines the textile's level of protection, and more precisely the proportion of UV transmission.
In order to meet standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.
LEG PROTECTION DURING THE SURF SESSION
These leggings limit friction with the board and wax, particularly at the knees when lying on the board and at the inner thighs when sitting on the board.
WAVE-HOLDING SYSTEM
The sheathing waistband and drawcord ensure that the leggings stay in position, even in the event of a fall into the waves. We recommend the use of a top 500 or 900 UV-resistant tee shirt (available in short and long sleeves) as a complement to these leggings for added protection.
ANTI UV LEGGINGS FOR WATER SPORTS
Our anti-UV products are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as swimming, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water-skiing, active ocean walking (longe-côte) or SUP (stand-up paddle).
BEHAVIOR IN THE SUN
Although this product provides protection from the sun, phenomena such as reverberation (on water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account. Wearing this product does not exempt you from adopting appropriate behavior: wearing sunglasses, a hat or cap, regular application of a suitable sun cream, drinking regularly, etc.
