Apply treatment to clean clothing
The water-repellent treatment of technical garments can deteriorate over time (gradual wear and tear due to rubbing and weathering). The waterproofing liquid reactivates the water repellency of a garment through impregnation. For maximum effectiveness, this treatment must be applied to a clean garment. For this reason, we recommend washing the garment with TECH&DOWN detergent for technical garments.
The first step: IMPREGNATION
You have two options!
Soaking:
Soak your garment for 15 minutes in a basin of 30° water with 4 capfuls (100ml) of water-repellent liquid.
Using a 30° delicate-cycle washing machine:
Place your garment on its own in your washing machine, without detergent, and add 4 capfuls (100ml) of water-repellency reactivator liquid to your machine's fabric softener tank.
Recommended dosage 100ml or 4 capfuls for 1kg of garment.
And the second stage: ACTIVATION
Heat drying activates the water-repellent function.
Thread-drying option:
Let your garment air-dry and, once dry, apply moderate heat with a hair dryer.
Tumble-drying option:
Place your garment alone in your tumble-dryer and use a delicate cycle (maximum 30°), also known as synthetic or sensitive fibers or sport.
How it works
This liquid reactivates the water repellency of waterproof garments.
ATTENTION: a non-waterproof garment will not become waterproof just by treating the fabric with this liquid.
