Program

An ultra-versatile board for waves up to shoulder height. It goes everywhere. If you're over 90 kg, you'll need to go for the larger 9'4" model.

Hand-laminated with epoxy resin on EPS foam pad for durability and resistance to denting.

Advantages of EPS/EPOXY boards

We have chosen this type of construction for our surfboards because it offers several advantages.
Epoxy resin is more resistant to impact and denting than polyester resin, giving you a stronger board.
The board will be more responsive and capable of generating more speed.
The EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam block floats better, so for the same volume you have more buoyancy than a polyester/polyurethane board.

Fins

1 x 8" fiberglass center fin on US box and 2 x 4" side fins on FCS1 boxes.
The further forward the fin is in the box, the more maneuverable the board. The further back it is, the more drive you'll get.

Fitting a leash (not supplied)

Be sure to adjust the length of the cord that connects the leash to the plug so that the rail saver rests on the edge of the board.

Protective packaging

The board is packed in a Flexi Hex® honeycomb case in a sturdy cardboard box.
this case can be reused in your surf bag to protect it on the move.

Surfboard 50% Polystyrene, 25% Epoxy resin, 15% Fiberglass, 10% Wood

STOCK TIPS

Avoid sources of high heat (e.g. inside a hot car).

Restrictions

Avoid waves that are too hollow and shorebreaks.

TESTS

Olaian is based in Hendaye in the Basque country (France). All year round, our design teams imagine and develop beautiful, simple and technical products. We then test them in the waves in collaboration with our ambassadors and sea professionals, under the most demanding conditions. We're convinced that only by putting our products through their paces in real-life situations, as you'll experience them, can we constantly improve.
