What's a longboard surfskate for?
The surfskate allows you to move forward by pumping, i.e. without putting your foot on the ground, gaining speed by giving your board an angle. What's more, since the amplitude of the trucks is more pronounced, a surfskate allows you to go for tight turns and put much more pressure on your curves. It's as close as you can get to the feel of surfing, and you can imitate certain tricks like cutbacks.
