TECHNICAL INFORMATION

WHAT IS UHMPE?

UHMPE stands for Ultra-High-Molecularweight Polyethylene. These fibers are made up of particularly long polyethylene chains.
Compared with other fibers used in mountain sports equipment, UHMPE has the following properties: high breaking strength, low volume and weight, low water absorption, fully static (low elongation), high UV resistance and low melting point.

FEATURES

Aluminum construction.
Ultimate carabiners are also tested for bending loads in accordance with UIAA 121.

THE PLUS

The elastic arms of the Ultima Ferrata S set are connected to a stainless steel swivel. This stable swivel prevents the via ferrata arms from twisting when clipping the carabiners. Time-consuming and annoying untangling of the via ferrata arms on the via ferrata is no longer necessary.
