Isothermal
We tested this lunchbox in the laboratory, in accordance with EN 12546-2, at an ambient temperature of 32°C, without ice pack, filled to half its volume. The time taken to go from 5°C (temperature of food coming out of the fridge) to 15°C is 2 hours.
By adding 300g of ice pack, the time taken to go from 5°C to 15°C under the same conditions is 3 hours.
Tips for optimizing the performance of your lunch box
To keep food cooler for longer, you can add cold accumulators, sold in the cooler family, to each compartment. You can also put the whole lunch box and food in the fridge before your hike.
The fuller the lunch box, the better it keeps cool.
