Who does ISO 16321-1:2022 apply to?
This is the new standard for personal protective equipment (PPE), replacing EN 166.
The content is similar. The validation test consists of projecting a 0.86g, 6mm-diameter ball at a speed of 45m/s onto the screen. For the product to be validated, the screen must not give way on impact.
The laser marking on the screen and the temple correspond to the requirements of this standard.
Why are the branches flat?
This shape provides optimum comfort for use with a hearing protection helmet, while the short, flat shape of the temple ensures that the helmet's foam remains as watertight as possible and doesn't create a second acoustic entry point at the back of the ear.
What do the different screen colors mean?
Neutral transparent screens are suitable for indoor use in non-direct sunlight. It is classified as category zero
The yellow screen is classified as category 1, to enhance light transmission and facilitate vision, and is ideal for use on cloudy days and in dark environments.
The black screen is classified as category 3, to reduce light transmission and reduce glare and direct radiation.
Is there any anti-fog treatment on the screen?
This model has no specific anti-fogging treatment, but its shape allows good ventilation. However, if it does fog up during use, you'll need to peel the product away from your skin to allow proper air circulation.
