PROTECTION
It's important to differentiate between visible and invisible light (UV in part)
All our glasses offer 100% UV protection.
Even with a transparent lens, you'll be protected, but you may be dazzled. This is where the notion of category (from 0 to 4) comes into play.
A category 0 lens lets almost all the light through, while a category 4 lens is very dark (ideal for high mountain use).
PHOTOCHROMIC GLASS
These glasses feature a photochromic lens, category 1 to 3, i.e. a lens that changes category depending on the weather
The lens tints in about 30 seconds (45 seconds to deactivate).
The luminosity felt varies little, even if the outside light changes.
For example, when cycling, the change in tint is hardly perceptible.
The tint changes smoothly, the eye adapting at the same time
A cold temperature will activate (tint) the lens more quickly.
HIGH DEFINITION GLASS
HIGH DEFINITION road lenses are specially designed to enhance the colors most present during cycling outings. Blues, greens and grays will be more contrasted, allowing you to see more details.
Tests have shown that cyclists prefer these lenses to classic category 3 lenses (grey or brown base).
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR GLASSES
To keep your eyewear lenses in good condition, and thus benefit from good quality vision , it's important to observe the following rules:
- always store your eyewear in a protective case, especially when transporting it
- never dry-wipe your eyewear, and wash it in soapy water before
- never wipe your eyewear with your T-shirt or cycling jersey
- only wipe/wash your lenses with a microfiber.
NOSE CHOICE
The glasses are delivered with several noses.
The objective is twofold: the most obvious is to have a frame adapted to your face.
The second objective is less well known but just as interesting: adjusting the nose allows you to adjust ventilation. The tighter the nose, the higher up on the face the glasses will be, and the further apart they will be. This provides greater ventilation, which can be useful in summer.
REMOVABLE FRAME
The PERF 500 has a removable frame at the bottom. Beyond the styling effect, which remains a personal choice, it's all about being able to adjust the ventilation to suit your sporting style. When the lower part is removed, the airflow inside the frame is greater.
To remove the lower part, gently pull it to the side (not downwards).
