UV protection even when wet.
The fabric used in this anti-UV product OLAIAN blocks at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA rays (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection against the sun.
It can be used in and out of the water for water sports.
UV filtration is generated by the density of the textile fibers, and this protection is resistant over time, even after washing.
What does UPF 50+ mean?
UPF is a globally standardized sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor). It defines the textile's level of protection, and more precisely the proportion of UV transmission.
In order to meet standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.
Recommended behavior in the sun
Although this T-shirt provides protection from the sun, phenomena such as reverberation (off water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account. Wearing a T-shirt does not exempt you from following the appropriate precautions: wearing sunglasses, a hat or cap, regular application of a suitable sun cream, drinking regularly, etc.
MORPHOLOGY
We created the 1-piece long-sleeved LUCY for all young surfers who want to surf in a swimsuit without the risk of losing it. Its cut has also been designed to avoid rubbing against the board and wax.
Its coverage and component protect the surfer from the UPF50+ sun
This swimsuit is truly the emblematic piece for the surfer.
GIRL'S SWIMSUIT SIZE
At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers with their growth in mind, which is why we systematically associate stature with size, i.e. the child's height, since age alone does not guarantee the right size. In fact, two 10-year-old girls can have totally different heights, measurements, weights and morphologies. We also recommend an in-cabin fitting if possible.
YOU'RE AN EXPERT SURFER
Surfing is your passion, and you practice it regularly in warm waters. During your sessions, you paddle to the line up, ducking or turtling, depending on whether you're on a shortboard or longboard. You surf waves of over a meter and know how to maneuver. You often fall and are used to being shaken underwater. You want your swimsuit to stay in place every time you move, and not get in the way when you're paddling.
