Before each use, check your Easybreath, especially your child's:
- Take the snorkel in your hand and move it from left to right. The ball must follow the movement without constraint
- Check the presence, condition and correct position of the seal
- Check that all valves are present, that they are not deformed and that they are well pressed against their support
- Check the overall assembly of the mask and that there are no defects in the assembly of the skirt on the frame and the glass
- Never use the mask without the snorkel.
What should I do if I fog up?
If your eyes fog up, please repeat the 4 steps described above, reposition your Easybreath mask correctly and check that the Easybreath is the right size for your face. If the problem persists, do not use the mask and contact your nearest Decathlon store.
Snorkeling safety
Snorkeling is a simple, fun activity for the whole family! Breathing through a snorkel is more demanding than simply swimming. If you feel tired, short of air or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water.
Do not use this product if you have cardiovascular or respiratory problems (lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). Consult your doctor if you have any doubts.
What is Easybreath?
The Decathlon Easybreath 500 mask is the second generation of the full-face snorkeling mask invented by Decathlon.
It has the same features as the old model: Vision 180°, anti-fog, easy to put on... and we've improved the mask's sturdiness, the comfort of the skirt, and breathing by reducing the inspiratory effort by 20%. It also features a new innovation: dry-top-release. You'll no longer experience the phenomenon of blocked breathing when passing through a wave.
What Easybreath products are available from Decathlon?
Easybreath: the mask that allows nose-to-mouth breathing, offering a wide field of vision and an anti-fog system thanks to air circulation. Available for adults and children.
Easybreath + (540): an acoustic valve that allows you to speak more audibly at the surface, head above water (without having to remove the mask!)
Easybreath 900: a flexible nose that compensates for the ears and allows you to descend to depths of up to 3m. Don't stay on the surface, go down!
How does Easybreath work?
Fresh air is projected onto the glass before reaching the nose or mouth via the nasal valves. This constant flow of fresh air reduces the risk of fogging.
Air laden with moisture and CO² is evacuated through channels in the mask's frame, which carry the air into the snorkel. The air is constantly renewed. Incoming and outgoing air flows are separated, avoiding the re-mixing of polluted air and allowing you to breathe only fresh air.

How does the dry-top system work?
The mask uses Dry-top technology. This system has been developed to prevent water from entering the snorkel when there are choppy waters, ripples on the surface, when submerged or when the user leans his or her head too far forward to observe the bottom. The snorkel is equipped with a float that rises to close the opening when the snorkel passes under the surface of the water. When this happens, remember to blow on taking the snorkel out of the water to ensure that the float descends properly.
Can I dive with my Easybreath 500?
The volume of air contained in the Decathlon snorkeling mask is greater than that contained in a traditional mask.
From a depth of 1m, the pressure of the mask on the face can be felt. When apnea is involved, it's essential to decompress, but with the Easybreath this is impossible, as the nose is inaccessible.
Why choose an Easybreath rather than a traditional snorkel mask?
The choice of a full-face snorkeling mask is based on the user's need for breathing comfort and a large field of view at vision .
The Easybreath Decathlon mask is ideally designed for people who observe mainly from the surface.
What size Easybreath 500 should I choose?
The Easybreath surface mask Adult - 500 is available in 2 sizes, covering 90% of adult faces.
From the age of 10 and for small faces, opt for size S/M, and for larger faces: size M/L.
To choose the right size in the store, tighten the mask on your face: there should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask.
Can I wear easybreath 500 if I have a beard?
Beard hair prevents good contact between facial skin and mask skirt. Waterproofing cannot therefore be guaranteed for bearded wearers. The best way to guarantee watertightness with this full face mask is to shave. Failing that, the use of a thick ointment such as Vaseline may also be a solution.
If my Easybreath 500 mask breaks, is it possible to repair it?
YES, extend the life of your Subea Easybreath mask! After-sales service is available in the workshop of your DECATHLON store. Spare parts (strap, hood, snorkels, valves) are also available online or in-store.
strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel - 8506099, white hood - 8520085.
Can I wear glasses with my Easybreath mask?
Most spectacle frames will prevent the mask from sealing properly by deforming the mask skirt. This makes it difficult to use Easybreath with prescription glasses.
What precautions should I take with my Easybreath 500?
Watch out for sand! Avoid bringing your Easybreath 500 full-face mask into contact with sand, which will scratch the mask glass. If sand is present, don't force the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before clipping them together. Sand can also block the float inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a wrench through the snorkel's rear vents to unblock the float, then rinse the snorkel.
