TECHNICAL INFORMATION

How to choose the right size for your MT500 mattress?

This model is available in L and XL versions.
The difference between the 2 sizes is in length (180 cm for the L; 195 cm for the XL) and width (52 cm for the L; 60 cm for the XL).
To choose the mattress that suits you best, you must of course take into account your stature, but not only that.
Your build and/or your preference for shoulder room should also be taken into consideration.
So even if you're 1.75 cm tall, you may prefer the XL!

How do you inflate your MT500 Air Isolant mattress?

To avoid blowing moisture into the mattress, we recommend using the pump bag in the cover.
To do this, unroll the entire pump bag/cover. Connect the valve on the pump bag to the "IN" valve on your mattress. Blow about 10 - 20 cm from the inlet of the pump bag, to inflate the main volume as much as possible. Roll the bag back to the valve to expel the air from the main volume into your mattress.

Tips for a good night's sleep on your MT500 Air Isolant mattress

Once you're lying down, remember to adjust the mattress inflation pressure by pressing lightly on the IN valve (open cap). A mattress that's too hard is often synonymous with discomfort.

Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to reduce the slippage of your sleeping bag on the mattress.

How to repair a leak in your MT500 Air Isolant mattress?

An air mattress is not indestructible, but it can be repaired!
When using an air mattress, great care must be taken with installation and handling.
In the event of a problem, we recommend the use of self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8557113).

What is R-Value?

The R-Value is a measure of thermal resistance. It measures the ability of a mattress to retain or prevent heat escaping from a warm body (the human body) to a cold floor.
The higher the R-Value, the better the mattress insulation.
Note that R-Values are additive; this means you can use 2 mattresses and add up their R-Values.

All our mattresses are tested to ASTM F3340-18.

Which R-Value for which use?

R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) use only
R-value from 2 to 3: Use over 3 seasons (spring-summer-fall)
R-value from 3 to 6: Use over 4 seasons
R-value > 6: Use over 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north and high altitude)
