MULTI-POSITION MOUNTING BRACKET

The CLASSIC motor features a 10-position mounting bracket, including a quick-release locking lever.
Twice as strong as a basic bracket, it is made of a reinforced composite material that resists bending, deformation and UV rays.

COOL QUIET POWER SYSTEM

It dissipates heat even under extreme conditions of use. The motor components (winding, commutator) are dimensioned to generate less heat and reduce propeller rotation noise, ensuring maximum discretion when approaching predators but also, and above all, extending motor life.

Understanding the power (lbs) of your motor

It is often measured in English pounds (lbs) or Kw, and not in horsepower like combustion engines. However, a rough equivalence can be given:
- 32 lbs / 0.40 hp
- 45 lbs / 0.60 hp
- 55 lbs / 0.80 hp

The greater the power, the greater the maximum speed achieved. However, speed also depends on the weight and size of your boat.
Example: a 2.30 m (45 kg) inflatable boat will reach a top speed of around 18 km/h with 55 lbs.

The importance of choosing the right battery

If your motor's power is high and your battery's power is inadequate, you'll be able to sail at high speed, but only for a short time.

In fact, range depends on the current consumed by your electric motor and the power of your battery. Example: for a 55 lb electric motor consuming 70 A (at maximum speed) and powered by a 110 Ah battery, you'll have a range of around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Minn Kota | THE BRAND

Since 1934, Minn Kota® has been designing electric motors for fishing, making it the world leader in this market. With unrivalled reliability, motors over 15 years old can be seen in action with no maintenance other than a propeller change.
Performance and innovation are the hallmarks of Minn Kota electric motors. Shock-absorbing composite shafts, telescopic handles and anti-algae propellers are the motors' most outstanding features.

Advantages of electric motors

- Less maintenance than internal combustion
- Long-lasting durability.
- Low weight
- Quiet motorization
- Electric technology is non-polluting
- Easy to use.
- Internal combustion motorization is banned on more and more bodies of water for reasons of noise and pollution.
