Your boat must be equipped with a life jacket that complies with local regulations, a paddle or flippers to steer you in the event of a breakdown.
Product for use by adults only.
Do not operate the motor out of the water.
Use caution around the propeller to avoid injury.

MOTOR AND CONTROL BOX INSTALLATION

Motor compatible with float tubes and kayaks equipped with the Decathlon fin base. (Order no.: 8603033)
Before taking any other action, disconnect the circuit breaker from the control box.
Insert the motor into the base under the boat, then insert the safety pin.
Connect the signal cable from the motor to the control box.
Make sure the cable is correctly assembled to ensure watertightness.

BATTERY CONNECTION (not supplied)

The motor is designed to run on a 12V battery.
Depending on the battery used, power output will be between 24 and 32 Lbs.
We recommend the use of a waterproof lithium technology battery, which is lighter and more compact.
You'll need to modify the connector according to the type of battery you're using.
2 clamp connectors are supplied, the red cable must be connected to the battery's positive terminal and the black cable to the negative terminal.

CONSUMPTION

Full forward: 25 Amperes with a precision of 23.63A (320w)
Full reverse: 21.2 Amperes max (263w)
Continuous current at half speed = 5 Amperes on average
Using the battery at half speed means considerable savings over long distances.
A 12Volt 50Ah battery is therefore an ideal choice for a day's fishing.

COMMISSIONING

1. Place the magnetic cut-out on the control box. The other end should be attached to the user. Set to position 0. The LED should light up green.
2. Forward/reverse motor operation is controlled by the rotary knob on the control box.
3. The variable speed drive on the control box allows you to progressively move your boat forward or backward and adjust the speed.
4. You must guide your boat with your flippers or paddles.
