Babolat presents the 3rd generation of the Pure Strike 100, a lightweight tournament racket that combines moderate power, spin-friendly precision and good feel. At 300 grams (unstrung) and a swing weight of 319-RDC, the Pure Strike 100 offers the right balance between speed and stability. Like the previous generation, the new Pure Strike 100 also incorporates FSI Power technology, with a greater distance between the upper cross strings to significantly improve spin and speed. New to this racket is C2 Pure Feel, a material technology that combines cortex with a unique, flexible viscoelastic rubber material at 3 and 9 o'clock for greater comfort and a longer stay of the ball in the stringbed. On groundstrokes, this racquet is fast, direct and precise. The Pure Strike 100 isn't as powerful as the Pure Drive or Pure Aero, but it has enough power to always reach a good ball length. With a slightly higher swing weight than the previous generation, this upgrade is slightly better at absorbing and returning high ball speeds, while still being fast enough to generate effective spin. At net, the Pure Strike 100 reaches the ball quickly and offers good feel, above-average stability for its weight category and good volleying response. Aggressive servers get enough spin, precision and power to force weak returns. This racquet also shines on returns, being versatile enough to block deep first serves and harshly punish weak second serves. All in all, with some impressive improvements, the Pure Strike 100 remains an excellent option for players looking for a lightweight tournament racquet with easy targeting during a full swing.
