This anatomical cotton halfpad features a wide border made of medical-grade sheepskin. The underside of the half pad is fully lined with sheepskin and includes a groove parallel to the spine to increase the gap. The half pad comes with six neoprene pads matching the six compartments on the top. The 8 pads mm slightly elevate the withers and back areas. Thus, the half pad helps to stabilize the position of the saddle on horses with a low or weak withers or a low or saddled back. The combination of sheepskin and neoprene evenly distributes the weight of the saddle and rider over the entire back of the horse. The risk of compression on the spine and withers is significantly reduced. Medical-grade sheepskins prevent excessive heat build-up and are also hygienic, sweat-resistant and antimicrobial.
